Mikoto Misaka stars in her own series which is To Aru Kagaku no Railgun, being a level 5 esper nicknamed “Railgun” for her outstanding movement. Mikoto is a brown-haired girl with lots of energy, a refined appearance, but a short tempered character; constantly compared to a Tsundere. In her interactions with other characters, besides her selfish attitude, she shows tolerance and sympathy, a character with many facets, her ability as an esper comes from her hard work, something she demonstrates in many of her encounters with other esper.
The series revolves around Mikoto and her group of friends: Kuroko, Kazari and Ruiko. We see them bouncing from place to place, solving mysteries, interacting with children or searching for legends surrounding the city Academy.
