Urara Meirochou author to premiere his new play The 11th Cat is Nene

Mangaka Harikamo author of works such as Terang, Sorani of the Land of Yorumori and of course his masterpiece Urara Meirochou will release a new manga on June 14, 2024 that will be titled “The 11th Cat is Nene” with a plot very similar to the one shown in Urara Meirochou. Thanks to this news, fans are waiting for this new work, which is already making people talk about it in the different social networks.

11 Banme No Neko Wa Nene

Last Wednesday, May 15, Kadokawa’s “Harta” magazine revealed to manga lovers and Harikamo’s followers, the publication of a new work that will be titled “11-banme no Neko wa Nene” or The 11th Cat is Nene and will be published on June 14 of this year, so it is closer than you think.

The plot of The 11th Cat is Nene focuses on a country where “cat people” live and human children are not allowed to enter, the entry of a boy to this place is considered a very serious crime. However, one day by chance a human sneaks and mixes in this country of nekos people, the protagonist, “Nene” has a goal to achieve inside the place no matter what may happen.

The manga that will be released next June “11-banme no Neko wa Nene” shows great similarities with his masterpiece “Urara Meirochou” which had a duration of 5 years, starting in 2014 and ending in 2019, its success was such that it had an anime adaptation in charge of the studio “J.C. Staff” (Toradora!, Shimoneta, High Score Girl, One Punch Man T2, Danmachi and LV2 Kara Cheat) where we met the adventures of Chiya, Kon, Koume and Nono.

For those who don’t know Urara Meirochou, it places us in Labyrinth Town, a town where female fortune tellers live and where they must come from all over the country to become the best of them all. One day, the lonely protagonist enters Labyrinth with the purpose of not only becoming the “Urara”. Along her way to become the best of the fortune tellers, she meets the other protagonists of the story: the honest Kon, the western culture aficionado Koume and the shy Nono.

The mangaka Harikamo bets on the similarities between Urara Meirochou and “El Gato 11 es Nene” as well as on the hype of the nekos to make this one more masterpiece to his collection, since of the 4 published series all exceed 8.0 being Labyrinth Town the best with a score just over 8.6 in the Mangadex website. In addition, the anime has a score of 7.13 on the official My Anime List page.
