The Zenless Zone Zero fan community has been involved in a curious scene after the publication of an animation on the Bilibili platform based on the anime Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete (Gushing over Magical Girls). And the work has unleashed various reactions on social networks and commented by thousands of users, especially because this scene is one of the most remembered that has the anime, especially for the level of “whimsy” that has and that has been present on this occasion.
Zenless Zone Zero Animation Leaves Fans Surprised
In a recent video uploaded through the Chinese streaming platform Bilibili, a very particular animation of the video game Zenless Zone Zero was seen, uploaded in question by this user and with the title “Sister Belle was defeated”. This incredible animation features a surprisingly faithful recreation of the battle between Utena Hiiragi and Magia Azure in episode 7 of the anime Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete, with the particular scene culminating in Magia Azure’s submission to Utena’s wishes.
In the original episode, Utena Hiiragi faces Magia Azure in an intense battle, however, the scene in the anime shows Utena subduing Magia Azure after an emotional play session, where in the end Utena manages to break Azure’s heart. In the face of this, she loses what little dignity she had and her mind leads her to behave in a very pathetic submissive manner and to want to satisfy her deepest desires with Utena. However, Utena sees Azure’s behavior as horrendous and not representative of what the young woman is: someone who seeks to protect and give her all until the end.
The adaptation of the animation towards the game Zenless Zone Zero takes this iconic scene and transforms it with characters from the title, instead of Magia Azure, the defeated character is Belle, while Utena is replaced by Jane Doe. Despite the changes to the characters, the video retains the original audio from the anime, reinforcing that many fans immediately knew which work it belonged to: the animation starts at the moment when Magia Azure is defeated, and reflects the same emotional intensity as the original episode, but adapted to the style and context of the Zenless Zone Zero game.
What makes this adaptation particularly notable is the way it respects and reinterprets the original material. The animation not only captures the essence of Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete episode 7, but also offers a new perspective by inserting it into the game’s universe. The video has been widely shared on social networks and forums, generating a wide range of comments, such as those who immediately identified which anime it belongs to or those who wanted to know more about Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete and the Zenless Zone Zero game.
