A group of Yu-Gi-Oh! fans has surprised with a new project of the series!
The weight that “Yu-Gi-Oh!” had in the 2000s for the anime industry in the West to begin to take off in popularity in the region is indisputable. Today, almost 24 years after the beginning of its broadcast, fans remember this series with much love and affection. In addition to having an exciting, interesting and action-packed storyline, it also has that touch of nostalgia that reminds many fans of our childhood with those afternoons after school, enjoying the adventures of “Yugi” and company.
And thanks to this timeless popularity, a group of fans has started a project on Facebook to remaster the original series from the 2000s in HD quality, thus improving the colors, shadows and lights of the anime. But also these fans have decided to change the design of the anime cards by replacing them with the original design of the popular “Yu-Gi-Oh!” card game, in order to make it look as realistic and epic as possible.
This new “fan-made” project of “Yu-Gi-Oh!“, has gained much notoriety on Facebook, as those in charge of bringing it to life have uploaded several videos to the platform showing their progress and the constant improvements they have made to the anime. Likewise, this has generated many reactions from fans of the iconic card game.
A large sector praised the team’s work, as they consider that this new work does justice to the anime series, which they believe needed a little “affection” for the new generations. Another sector concentrated on commenting that adding the original design of the cards in this new anime was totally true, as it added a plus to the whole series. Finally, some fans commented that hopefully soon the franchise will be encouraged to make a “remake” of this series, as the 25th anniversary of its original premiere is approaching, so it would be nice to see something like this.
