New updates on the anime adaptation of the manga Young Ladies Don’t Play Fighting Games (Tai-Ari deshita: Ojousama wa Kakutou Game nante Shinai) have been released. This Thursday, the first official trailer for the Young Ladies Don’t Play Fighting Games anime was released, which offers a first look at the animation, as well as the main characters Mio Yorue and Aya Mitsuki play Street Fighter 6. So far, no premiere date for the series has been confirmed.

The promotional video also reveals details about the production team and new voice cast members for the anime Young Ladies Don’t Play Fighting Games. Direction will be handled by Shota Ihata, while the studio Diomedéa will be in charge of the animation. The composition of the series will be the responsibility of Wataru Watari. Mayuko Matsumoto will be in charge of character design, and Kana Hashiguchi will compose the soundtrack.

The work began publication in the Monthly Comic Flapper magazine of the publisher Media Factory from January 2020. The manga Young Ladies Don’t Play Fighting Games is still in serialization and has 8 compilation volumes published in total.
In March of this 2025, KADOKAWA announced the production of an anime adaptation for the manga Young Ladies Don’t Play Fighting Games (Tai-Ari deshita: Ojousama wa Kakutou Game nante Shinai). At the time, it was specified that the series will premiere at some point this year.
