Today, fans of “cloud gaming” and especially of Xbox have been pleasantly surprised, since it has been made official the integration of a new function in Microsoft consoles that promises to consolidate the brand as the most relevant option in the market when it comes to playing in the cloud, as well as another step for this technology to gain much more popularity among all gamers in the world.
Xbox will now be the largest cloud gaming platform with this new feature!
Through its official accounts on various social networks, Xbox has released a statement making official the integration of the cloud gaming service owned by Nvidia called “GeForce Now” in all its consoles. The Microsoft-owned brand has stated the following:
Xbox has partnered with NVIDIA GeForce NOW and Boosteroid to bring first-party titles to more gamers, if you own any of the Xbox games supported by Steam and have an account on either streaming service you’ll be able to play any game in the cloud from anywhere. Just make sure you link your Steam account to NVIDIA “GeForce NOW” or “Boosteroid”.
Also, on the official support page it has been noted that in order to add Nvidia’s cloud gaming service to your console, the player will need to have an active account on the service, but that more details will be announced so it is speculated that a free plan could also be added.
With this new move by Xbox, the Seattle-based brand consolidates its position as the most complete competitor in the cloud gaming ecosystem. A feature that allows you to enjoy any title wherever you are and on any device you want without having to be connected to your console, thanks to the fact that remotely Microsoft servers will be running this title so that through the application and compatible browser you can enjoy it at any time.
At the moment this service of games in the cloud by Microsoft and Xbox is only available in some regions of Asia, America and Europe, it is also worth noting that it is only available by purchasing the monthly service “Game Pass Ultimate“. Which costs approximately 20 dollars a month and offers a wide catalog of games, as well as the possibility of accessing new titles on the same day of its launch.
So we will have to be very attentive for many new surprises from the brand that, as we have seen, this time has bet many of its chips, that in the near future, cloud gaming will be the main experience that new and more experienced players will be looking for. Let us know in the comments section what you think of this move by the American brand and if you are one of the players who already make use of this new technology in their daily lives.
