VTuber Nanda ga Haishin sets premiere date for new anime season
On June 7, a new trailer for the anime VTuber Nanda ga Haishin, which adapts the light novels of the same name written by Nana Nanato and illustrated by Siokazunoko and published in Japan by Fujimi Shobo, was released through KADOKAWA’s official YouTube channel. The trailer of the adaptation gives us more information such as the release date, which is scheduled for very soon, as well as presenting the main themes of the anime and more details about the cast.
The premiere date of VTuber Nanda ga Haishin is set for Sunday, July 7, 2024 in Japan through various channels such as TOKYO MX, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV and AT-X. In addition, an additional broadcast on July 9 will also be broadcast on BS NTV. The songs featured in the trailer are the opening theme song “Virtual Showtime!” sung by Kokone Awayuki (CV: Ayane Sakura) & Schwa-chan (CV: Ayane Sakura) and the song “Live Start” by Live-ON.

The story of VTuber Nanda ga Haishin stars Yuki Tanaka, a twenty-year-old former worker who makes a living from streamers at Live-On, one of Japan’s top VTuber companies. She plays Awayuki Kokorone, but her subscriber numbers and savings are at rock bottom. Until one night, after thinking she was done straight, Yuki starts drinking alcohol and making off-color comments, this goes viral and our protagonist thinks it’s the end of her career. But her manager gives her a free hand so she can continue drinking on-air producing, dropping her polite character to take on a new role that is the complete opposite.
