To no one’s surprise, Doom is a game that has been ported to countless devices, from calculators to pregnancy tests to microwave screens, it is now well known that if a device has a screen it will probably run Doom without a problem. Now with the recent release of the Nintendo Alarmo it is not surprising that some user ported Doom to this device, the curious thing this time is that this watch from the big N has a couple of weeks on the market and already managed to run the game without much difficulty.
Doom can be played on the new Nintendo Alarmo
That game that changed the video game industry in 1993 was programmed with a code so simple and so close to perfection that for those who know programming is not very complicated to port it to any device that at least has a screen. Moreover, nowadays virtually any device has a processor capable of running the game without much effort is why it is said that if you have a screen is most likely to run Doom, this time it was the turn of the Nintendo Alarmo the smart watch of the big N.
The X user @GaryOderNjcht shared through his account that he managed to run the game perfectly on the new Nintendo Alarmo, using the buttons and the touch panel of the watch showed how the game plays on the Nintendo smartwatch and to tell the truth this would be a great extra for all users who own Alarmo. It’s only a matter of time before users themselves unlock the hidden potential of this new watch and it can be used for tasks other than just being a nice smart alarm clock.
With this port on the table nothing can stop us from seeing other titles on the Nintendo Watch, of course the controls would be quite cumbersome in most cases, but this kind of thing is more aimed at gamers who enjoy experimenting with their electronic devices and trying to get the most out of them. But for mere mortals it is also a pleasure to be able to see these technical prowess in this kind of devices, only time will tell what is the true potential of Nintendo Alarmo, as this device is not cheap at all, especially in American countries.
Hopefully in the future we will also be able to see a Doom 2 on the device or classic games from Nintendo itself, so we have no doubt that for gamers nothing is impossible if you want to make it happen. Because our imagination is the limit and once again the game created by ID software shows us that no matter the era or console Doom is timeless.
