In the official media for the anime adaptation of the light novel “Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy-” (Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu), it was confirmed that the long-awaited second season of the series will begin airing in Japan on January 8, 2024. Additionally, a new promotional video has been unveiled featuring a preview of the opening theme song of the anime’s second season.
Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- 2 will be released on January 8, 2024.
It is important to note that the new opening theme will be performed by singer Keina Suda and will be titled ‘Utopia‘; while Kento Ito will perform the closing theme, titled ‘My Factor‘.
As we have mentioned in previous posts, the second season of the anime Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- will be produced by the animation studio J.C. Staff, which will replace C2C, in charge of the animated production in the first season of the series.
The production team involved in the second season of Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- will be as follows: Shinji Ishihara will once again take on the role of director, while animation studio J.C. Staff will be in charge of the anime’s production. Kenta Ihara will return to take charge of composing the second season, Yukie Suzuki will resume her role as the anime’s character designer, and Yasuharu Takanashi will return to compose the soundtrack.
“Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy-” plunges us into a fascinating fantasy world, where Makoto Misumi, a young man sent from Earth through an enigmatic pact between his parents and a goddess, faces a startling revelation: the deity rejects him for his appearance and withdraws his title of hero. Instead of being discouraged, Makoto acquires the ability to understand all languages except human, and is thrown into a desolate wasteland, far from civilization.
As he adapts to this new environment, Makoto discovers that he possesses amazing physical and magical abilities that make him a formidable force. On his journey, he encounters demihumans and mythical creatures, who are captivated by his gifts and decide to join him in forging a community where all can live together in peace.
Despite his achievements, Makoto still longs for contact with other humans, a challenging task in a world where the goddess herself forbids him to interact with his own kind. Thus, together with his faithful companions, Makoto sets out on a mission to fulfill his wish and, perhaps, transform society in the process.
