It was officially announced that the Transformers franchise on its 40th anniversary will have an incredible animated project from the hands of the renowned studio Trigger. This came after an official account of the franchise published a video teaser of no more than 40 seconds where we see the animation that many have been waiting for. An anniversary that leaves this kind of projects and this is only the beginning of the announcements.
Transformers makes epic return with new animated movie teaser
Announced on the official “@TF_pr” account, celebrating its 40th anniversary, the Transformers franchise is launching a new animated series from the renowned studio Trigger. Trigger is known for its work with series such as Dungeon Meshi, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Little Witch Academia, DARLING in the FRANXX and Star Wars: Vision. Always with a very good quality in their productions, for this reason fans are so excited about the arrival of this series.
The company is currently offering many nostalgic moments within its networks, giving glimpses into the past, movies and screenshots of the many series and adaptations that have been conceived of Transformers. Studio Trigger has also interacted with the brand’s Twitter/X account with screenshots of the Teaser and some words about it. The franchise has had a somewhat slow few years, with a golden age that lasted long with its movies and the last one was just 1 year ago with considerable lapses of interludes between the previous ones.
This points to a full movie in Japanese animation, Transformers, like many other titles, joins those western names that have opted for an animated adaptation for their series. One example is Terminator: Zero, a Netflix anime that adapts the big screen adventures we’ve all heard about or seen in the flesh. Information on this 40th anniversary of Transformers and everything to come can be found on the official Twitter/X profile.
The Transformers franchise is 40 years old since its first generation, which were neither video games nor animated series, but rather began as a line of Hasbro Toys that offered something very new for children of the 80’s era. Unlike many other toys, Transformers were robots that could transform (hence the name) into vehicles, appliances and other electronic devices.
Being so popular in Japan, Marvel Productions took on this project by creating its own television series with a protagonist such as the renowned Optimus Prime and an antagonist such as Megatron. This would exceed expectations, creating new generations of toys and managing to produce movies and series based on comics made from the franchise. To this day it is a reference in terms of mecha genres, for its titanic battles.
