Through a press release, REMOW confirmed that the anime adaptation of the manga TOUGEN ANKI will premiere on July 11, 2025. But that’s not all, as it was also revealed that the popular Japanese rock band BAND-MAID will be in charge of performing the ending “What is justice?”.
Additionally, it has been confirmed that advance screenings of the first three episodes of TOUGEN ANKI will be held in Japanese theaters.
The cast of characters is as follows:
Voice actress Manaka Iwami, known for playing Akane Kurokawa in Oshi no Ko and Mahiru Shiina in Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken, will voice Homare Byoubugaura.
Voice actor Natsuki Hanae, known for playing Tanjirou Kamado in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, 9S in NieR:Automata Ver1.1a and Ken Takakura in Dandadan, will voice Jyuji Yusurube.
Voice actor Shougo Sakata, known for playing Aki Hayakawa in Chainsaw Man and Saito Houjou in Class no Daikirai na Joshi to Kekkon suru Koto ni Natta, will voice Ikari Yaoroshi.
Voice actress Aimi, known for voicing Kasumi Toyama in BanG Dream! and Nanako Kogure in Bokutachi no Remake, will play Kuina Sazanami.
Voice actor Kaito Miura, who will have his first role in the anime industry, will play Rokuro Kiriyama.
The production team for the Tougen Anki anime is as follows: Ato Nonaka is in charge of directing the anime along with Hiroyuki Hashimoto, who will assist in directing. The animation studio Studio Hibari is in charge of the production of the anime. Yukie Sugawara is in charge of writing and supervising the anime’s scripts. Ryoko Amisaki is in charge of character design for the anime. Kohta Yamamoto is in charge of composing the anime’s soundtrack. Pony Canyon is credited with the production of the anime’s soundtrack.

Tougen Anki is a dark fantasy adventure shonen manga written and illustrated by Yura Urushibara. This manga began to be published in the Weekly Shonen Champion magazine of the Japanese publisher Akita Shoten since June 2020. Currently, the Tougen Anki manga is still in serialization and has, to date, a total of 22 compilation volumes.
In May 2024, Akita Shoten announced the production of an anime adaptation of the Tougen Anki manga.
