To Love Ru became one of the most representative works for many anime fans, who found in it a story that catches, but above all a lot of characters which became the “waifus” of the viewers, and now the iconic franchise is back, but in a more than striking way. By having a large number of “waifus” caught the attention of a gacha style video game that is characterized by having a large number of these girls, Azur Lane, and a few hours ago it was officially confirmed that the game and the anime will be collaborating in the future.
To Love Ru teams up with Azur Lane in unexpected collaboration
In one of its most recent broadcasts where news of all kinds is given, the gacha-style video game Azur Lane surprised everyone by confirming its new future collaboration, which has as its protagonist one of the most emblematic works in the world of anime: To Love Ru Darkness. Although very little or even no information about this collaboration was detailed, it was more than incredible news for fans of both franchises, so beloved within their own genres.
As we mentioned, we still do not know much more information about what this collaboration between Azur Lane and To Love Ru will bring us, since only an image with a silhouette of one of the many “waifus” present in the work was shown, and only with a message that the collaboration between the two is confirmed. That is why the start date of this, as well as which of all the “waifus” will be available in the game or what kind of events will be held, are still a mystery, only that the crossover will be between Azur Lane and To Love Ru Darkness.
As expected, fans on social networks where the announcement was made did not wait, showing their excitement at the arrival of this mythical franchise to a video game that is characterized by having a lot of “whimsy” in its content, so the anime girls will have the same treatment. In addition, many took the opportunity to start speculating which of all the “waifus” will be present as part of this collaboration, being that names like Lala Satalin Deviluke, Mikan Yūki, Yui Kotegawa or Golden Darkness can be seen in the comments, along with many others.
With this collaboration between Azur Lane and To Love Ru Darkness, both franchises join the various collaborations that could be seen with the passage of time between gacha style video games with well-known anime, such as one of the most talked about The Goddess of Victory: Nikke. The latter has already collaborated with works such as Chainsaw Man or Evangelion, and the latter is still available in the game, so the trend of joining these media is growing.
