Absolutely, all anime fans know what a “seiyuus” is and what their role is within the industry, not for nothing many of us have our favorite voice actor or actress, as they have been responsible for captivating us with their great interpretations. From scenes full of passion, moments that have broken our hearts and moments that have fascinated us are some of the reasons why these talented artists have captivated otaku and today Japanese fans have chosen the voice actresses they are most looking forward to hearing this year 2024.
These are the seiyuus that Japan’s otaku want to hear more from this year!
The famous Japanese specialized portal called “Anime! Anime!“, on the occasion of the new year, has conducted a survey to its readers to find out which are the female seiyuus they most expect to hear and participate in the various projects that are planned to be released in this year 2024. This survey was conducted between December 19 and 26, with a total participation of 511 votes, where the participation was 40% male and 60% female, with an age range from 19 years old to 40 years old. The results, we are sure, will also leave you surprised.
First let’s start from highest to lowest from the seiyuus with “less hype” to the most awaited by otaku. In the number 10 position we have Hina Yomiya who is known for voicing “Anna Yamada” in “The Dangers in my Heart” which in this January is premiering its second season, in the number 9 position the fans have chosen Reina Ueda best known for her role as “Kanao Tsuyuri” in “Demon Slayer” (Kimetsu no Yaiba). In the next four positions we have a triple tie and that “Anime! Anime!”, has decided to award the sixth place to the 4 artists that we will mention.
Aoi Yūki (Makoda Kaname, Tanya von Degurechaf), Miyuki Sawashiro (Shino Asada, Suruga Kanbaru, Daki) and Ayane Sakura (Ochaco Uraraka, Yotsuba Nakano) are the seiyuus who hold the “sixth place” as we have mentioned. But it doesn’t end here, there is once again a tie, so “Anime! Anime!” has decided to give the 4th place to both of them, we are talking about Atsumi Tanezaki voice of “Anya Forger” in “Spy x Family”, “Frieren” in “Sousou no Frieren” and none other than Saori Hayami best known for her very outstanding roles as “Yor Forger“, “Shinobu Kocho”, “Yukino Yukinoshita” and “Yumeko Jabami”.
So finally we come to the top 3 places where we find the seiyuus that fans are most eager to hear their performances in this year 2024. Third place goes to Kazue Ikura known for roles in One Piece, Sailor Moon and Ranma ½, second place goes to Kana Hanazawa voice of “Ichika Nakano”, “Mitsuri Kanroji” and “Kosaki Onodera”.
And the first place goes to one of the most prominent seiyuus in the anime industry, Rie Kugimiya known for voicing Taiga in “Toradora“, “Al” in “FullMetal Alchemist” and “Louise” in “Zero no Tsukaima”. Undoubtedly a very interesting exercise by “Anime!
