Recently, we told you that the popular anime Spy x Family would have a special collaboration with the Battle Royale known as PUBG Mobile (The mobile version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds). After weeks of silence, the social media accounts of the video game revealed that the exciting event has already begun, through an excellent official promotional art.
Yor and Loid from Spy x Family are coming soon to PUBG Mobile!
PUBG Mobile ‘s official Twitter account posted this beautiful official artwork of the collaboration with Spy x Family. In this one, we can see the playable characters of the hit Battle Royale in the anime art style produced by Wit Studio and CloverWorks. Not only do they look more than good, but the dynamic background colors remind us of the characteristic covers of the original manga volumes. On the other side, we can see the protagonists of the series, Loid and Yor Forger, seated and ready for battle. It’s clear that the developers of PUBG must have a lot of affection for the Spy x Family anime, and that passion can be felt in this concept art.
The tweet in question also revealed new information about the content we’ll be able to find in PUBG Mobile during this collaboration. It reads “The battle begins! The Spy x Family collaboration has finally landed on the battlefield! With the “Twilight” and “Thorn Princess” outfits and many in-game elements in play, it’s time to start a new battle!”, the latter revealed that we can dress our characters in the iconic Loid and Yor outfits, which is very exciting. This wouldn’t be the first time this has happened in PUBG, as this Battle Royale has collaborated with other popular anime, such as Jujutsu Kaisen or Dragon Ball.
It was also confirmed that you will be able to get Yor’s famous stilettos in PUBG Mobile as a close combat weapon, which is a nifty idea. This is all great, but the public was left with a question mark: what happened to Anya? The little psychic girl is perhaps the most popular character in Spy x Family, but there seems to be no outfit inspired by her in the entire collaboration. It’s a shame, but at least we can confirm that there are other items based on Anya, such as a pink wig with her hairstyle or a decoration of her Chimera plushie. There’s also a glider and an ornament of the Forger family dog, Bond.
If you’re a fan of Spy x Family and you like multiplayer Battle Royale video games like PUBG Mobile, you’re definitely going to enjoy this event. If you log into your game right now you can already start acquiring all these Forger family items. This collaboration will last for quite a long time: It started today and will end next May 13th.
