After setting the premiere of its new OVA in theaters in Japan for March 14 and announcing the release of its Blu-ray/DVD for April 25 (with a pre-sale scheduled for March 14), the anime KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!) presented a new promotional video of its OVA to increase fans’ hype for the anime’s return to theaters in Japan.

In the promotional video of Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! 3 BONUS STAGE we can appreciate the presence of some “guest” characters for the occasion. Without going into much detail about their names or their respective interpreters, the official website of the anime Konosuba only limited itself to present them with a special illustration. New information about them will be released soon.
Previously, it was announced that the OVA Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! 3 BONUS STAGE will be composed of two episodes: “Red Stream Explosion!” and “Nisemono Chuii!”. As mentioned above, it will be screened in theaters in Japan next March 14, this coming 2025. Like the third season of Konosuba!, the animation studio DRIVE will be in charge of the production of this OVA.

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!, abbreviated as Konosuba!, is an isekai genre light novel authored by Natsume Akatsuki, while the illustrations are by Kurone Mishima. This fascinating light novel began publication under Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint of Kadokawa Publishing House on October 1, 2013, and concluded its exciting journey on May 1, 2020. During this time, Kadokawa Publishing published a total of 17 volumes, consolidating the narrative of this captivating world.
The story also has a manga adaptation, illustrated by illustrator Masahito Watari. This manga first saw the light of day in the pages of Monthly Dragon Age magazine, under the editorial wing of Fujimi Shobo, starting in September 2014. The literary franchise managed to exceed 10 million copies in circulation and thanks to the good reception of the public, the work had its respective anime adaptation.
On January 13, 2016, the light novel Konosuba! premiered its anime adaptation, which consists of three seasons (31 episodes in total), a movie and two OVAs. The animation studio Studio Deen was in charge of the production of the first two seasons of the series; however, the third season was produced by the studio DRIVE. The series is legally available on the Crunchyroll platform and has English dubbing.
The anime Konosuba! has the following description: After suffering a laughably pathetic death while returning from buying a game, high school student and recluse Kazuma Satou finds himself sitting before a beautiful but hateful goddess named Aqua.
She gives the NEET two choices: continue on to heaven or be reincarnated into every gamer’s dream: a real fantasy world! Kazuma decides to start a new life and is quickly tasked with defeating a Demon King who is terrorizing the villages. But before leaving, he can choose an object of any kind to help him in his mission, and the future hero chooses Aqua. But Kazuma has made a grave mistake: Aqua is completely useless!
