As some may recall, in December 2023 the official media for the anime adaptation of the light novel “Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai” (Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai) announced the production of a new anime project for the franchise. This anime project would cover the “University Student Arc” arc and although at the time not much information was released about the premiere or the format of this project, it was promised that new updates would be released over the months, a detail that has been fulfilled today.
The new Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai anime will premiere in 2025.
In the respective official media of the TV anime Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai, it was confirmed that the new sequel of the series that will cover the University Student Arc, will have a “TV Anime” format and its premiere is scheduled to take place in the course of the year 2025. For the moment, this is the only thing that KADOKAWA revealed to the public, so we will have to wait some more time to know more details about this sequel to the anime Seishun Buta Yarou.
The light novel Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai, also known as Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai in the West, is a light novel that is written by Hajime Kamoshida and illustrated by Keiji Mizoguchi. The work began publication at ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko imprint since April 2014.
The work has a manga adaptation that began its publication in January 2016 through Dengeki G’s Comic magazine of ASCII Media Works (Kadokawa). It should be noted that the manga adaptation was made by illustrators Tsugumi Nanamiya (Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai), Asakusa Tsukumo (Seishun Buta Yarou wa Puchidebiru Kouhai no Yume wo Minai) and Tsukako Akina (Seishun Buta Yarou wa Rojikaru Witchi no Yume wo Minai).
On October 4, 2018, the light novel Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai released its anime adaptation which consisted of 12 episodes and 3 movies. In addition, CloveWorks animation studio was in charge of the production of the anime under the direction of Souichi Masui.
