As some may recall in November 2024 it was announced that Aka Akasaka, author of the manga Kaguya-sama: Love is War (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen) and Oshi no Ko, would be back with a new manga, which will be assisted by Aji Chika, the illustrator of the manga Record of Ragnarok (Shuumatsu no Valkyrie) and Kujire, who will be in charge of the composition of the work.
To the good fortune of fans who were overjoyed by the return of Aka Akasaka, more details about her new manga have been shared to the public. According to a report in this year’s 13th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine (Shueisha), Aka Akasaka’s new manga is scheduled to start publication on March 19, 2025.
In addition, it was revealed that this manga will be titled Maerchen Crown (Fairy Tale Crown) and the first illustration of this work that will be written by Aka Akasaka, illustrated by Aji Chika and composed by Kujire has been presented.

Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen, also known as Kaguya-sama: Love is War in the West, is a romantic comedy manga written and illustrated by Aka Akasaka. It began publication in Miracle Jump magazine (2015-2016) and then moved to Weekly Young Jump magazine, both owned by Shueisha Publishing.
The manga has now concluded and Shueisha Publishing has released a total of 27 compilation volumes. In addition, it has inspired two spin-offs that were released in 2018. A while ago, it was reported that the manga has surpassed an impressive 20 million copies in circulation.
On January 12, 2019, the manga Kaguya-sama: Love is War was adapted into an anime, which consisted of three seasons in total (with 36 episodes) and a movie. The series was produced by the animation studio A-1 Pictures, under the direction of Shinichi Omata. The series is available legally on the Crunchyroll platform and has an English dub.
The manga Kaguya-sama: Love is War has the following description: Considered a genius for having the highest grades in the country, Miyuki Shirogane leads the student council of the prestigious Shuchiin Academy as its president, working alongside the beautiful and wealthy vice president Kaguya Shinomiya.
