The last two installments of The Legend of Zelda saga, Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, introduced us to a huge cast of interesting characters. One of the crowd favorites is Riju, the matriarch of the Gerudo and the Sage of Thunder. This new popularity led her to star in numerous illustrations, cosplays and collectible figures, like this new one that has just been revealed.
¡Add Riju of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to your collection!
The figure in question was designed by Wake Studio and has just been published on the Mirai Collectibles site. In this one, we can see Riju with his design from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom in full action. Her two swords are covered in electricity and she has a very dynamic pose, as if she were in the middle of an attack. Below her, we can see a part of Queen Gibdo, the final boss of the Thunder Temple, whom Riju helped us defeat with his electric powers in Tears of the Kingdom. So this figure is also an excellent reference to the events of the game.
As you would expect from Wake Studio, this figurine is really incredible and full of details. In addition to the pose and the monster it uses as a base, the design of Riju herself left us quite surprised. They managed to capture the fierce personality of the young Gerudo girl with her expression. Not to mention that they replicated all the elements of her appearance to perfection: Her dress full of Gerudo decorations, her shiny crown, the intricate braids in her reddish hair, her beautiful jewelry and even the detailed makeup on her face. Riju looks as intimidating as she does adorable, and if you’re a fan of this character from The Legend of Zelda saga, this figure is ideal for you.
Wake Studio had already produced other amazing figures of The Legend of Zelda, but this is the first time they replicate one of the 7 Sages of the game. It is understandable that they started with Riju, since she is the most popular of the group next to Zelda, but we hope they will soon produce figures of other characters, such as Sidon, Rauru, Tureli, etc.
The Riju figure comes in 2 sizes with 2 different prices: The 1/4 scale one is 42 cm tall, 42.5 cm wide and 31 cm deep, and will cost 424 ringgit ($91). While the 1/6 scale one is 28 cm high, 28.3 cm wide and 20.7 cm deep, and will cost 296 ringgit (63 dollars). It is estimated to be released between July and September 2024, but you can already pre-order it right now and until February 15. If you collect figures and you really like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’re going to want to add this one to your collection. You can visit Mirai Collectibles if you are interested in buying it.
