Good news for fans of the anime adaptation of the light novel The Eminence in Shadow (Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!), as it was reported today that the series will arrive on the Netflix platform this November. This news was reported by user Portal Netflix BR (@netflix_portal), which specified that the first season of the anime will be available on the platform from November 29.
Additionally, Portal Netflix BR also reported that the second season of the anime The Eminence in Shadow will arrive on Netflix, although at the moment it does not have an arrival date.

Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!, also known as ‘The Eminence in Shadow’ in the West, is a light novel in the isekai genre that combines elements of action, comedy and fantasy. It was written by Daisuke Aizawa and features illustrations by Touzai. The work was first published in November 2018 by Enterbrain (Kadokawa).
A manga adaptation by illustrator Anri Sakano has been published in Kadokawa Shoten’s Comp Ace magazine since December 2018. Thanks to the good reception of the work, an anime adaptation of the light novel was announced in February 2021.
On 5 October 2022, the light novel ‘The Eminence in Shadow’ premiered its anime adaptation, which was split into 2 seasons for a total of 32 episodes. The responsibility for the production of the series lies with the renowned animation studio NEXUS, with Kazuya Nakanishi directing. In addition, the anime The Eminence in Shadow confirmed the production of a movie, which will release further updates in the near future.
The anime The Eminence in Shadow has the following description: The story follows the journey of Minoru Kagenou, an individual obsessed from an early age with achieving ultimate strength. His days are spent in a double life: during the daylight, Minoru disguises himself as an ordinary student, while in the shadows of night he wields a crowbar to mercilessly take on the local biker gangs. A tragic accident, however, seems to put an end to his ambitions, leaving him helpless in the face of his human limitations.
But the story takes an unexpected turn when Minoru awakens in a completely different world as Cid, the second son of the noble Kagenou family. Here, magic is an everyday reality and his desire for power materialises. Adopting the name ‘Shadow’, Cid founds Shadow Garden, a group destined to take on the mysterious Cult of Diablos, an organisation that, to Cid’s surprise, turns out to be more real than he imagined. With each step forward, Shadow Garden grows in numbers and power, revealing a plot that goes far beyond the fictional.
