There is no doubt that the multimedia franchise “The Eminence in Shadow” (Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!) has gained enormous popularity within the otaku community thanks to the respective anime adaptation that the light novel received in 2022.
This can also be seen with the release of its video game for mobile devices, titled “The Eminence in Shadow: Master of Garden“, which has attracted the attention of fans for its gacha system and its story, which is supervised by the author of the work and features both original content and material seen in the anime and light novel.
Considering the current relevance of the franchise, it is to be expected that the respective official media of the video game “The Eminence in Shadow: Master of Garden” try to draw the attention of the public to encourage them to install the title and for this occasion we will talk about a curious promotional video that has as main protagonists the characters Beta and Epsilon, who are confronted by an unusual reason … their “Milkers”.

In the promotional video we can see how Epsilon confronts Beta, giving her to understand that the protagonist Shadow/Cid Kagenou laid eyes on her. At that point, the focus is on the character’s breasts and Epsilon begins to show them off to a shocked Beta, and the scene is followed by an in-game sequence in which the two waifus are pitted against each other to find out who the winner is for the viewer, again focusing on the girls’ p3chos.
As expected, both Japanese and foreign audiences have been amazed by this curious confrontation between Epsilon and Beta, and they did not take long to leave comments showing their preference for one of these waifus as if it were a duel of sides.
“Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!“, also known as “The Eminence in Shadow” in the West, is a light novel in the isekai genre that combines elements of action, comedy and fantasy. It was written by Daisuke Aizawa and features illustrations by Touzai. The work was first published in November 2018 by Enterbrain Publishing (Kadokawa).
A manga adaptation by illustrator Anri Sakano began to be published in Kadokawa Shoten’s Comp Ace magazine since December 2018.
On October 5, 2022, the light novel “The Eminence in Shadow” released its anime adaptation, which was divided into 2 seasons, totaling 32 episodes. The responsibility for the production of the series falls on the renowned animation studio NEXUS, with Kazuya Nakanishi directing. In addition, the anime The Eminence in Shadow confirmed the production of a movie, entitled “The Eminence in Shadow: Lost Echoes“.
“The Eminence in Shadow” tells an intriguing and captivating story that follows the journey of Minoru Kagenou, an individual obsessed from an early age with achieving ultimate strength. His days are spent in a double life: during the daylight, Minoru disguises himself as an ordinary student, while in the shadows of the night he wields a crowbar to mercilessly take on the local motorcycle gangs. A tragic accident, however, seems to put an end to his ambitions, leaving him plunged into the helplessness of his human limitations.
But the story takes an unexpected turn when Minoru awakens in a completely different world as Cid, the second son of the noble Kagenou family. Here, magic is an everyday reality and his desire for power materializes. Adopting the name “Shadow,” Cid founds Shadow Garden, a group destined to take on the mysterious Cult of Diablos, an organization that, to Cid’s surprise, turns out to be more real than he imagined. With each step forward, Shadow Garden grows in numbers and power, revealing a plot that goes far beyond the fictional.
