Hideaki Anno is one of the best known and most relevant directors in the anime industry for having been the mastermind of Neon Genesis Evangelion, one of the anime that has made its space in the history of animation. The reason why we are talking about him today is that the famous director is celebrating his birthday and the congratulations from his fans around the world have not been long in coming.

Hideaki Anno was born on May 22, 1960 and today celebrates his 64th birthday. Throughout all these years he has cultivated a career as one of the best directors in various media, as he has been the one who directed many anime works such as the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, Kare Kano, Gunbuster, among others.

However, the famed director has not only been behind several anime, but has also had the opportunity to direct live action films such as Shin Godzilla released in 2016. Which tells us about an unknown accident that occurs on the Aqua line in Tokyo Bay, until suddenly a giant creature appears and threatens to destroy the city.
