Recall that the anime adaptation of the light novel The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy made its premiere on television in Japan last October 2, 2023, however, it had an exclusive preview on the ABEMA platform. The series is produced by the Passione animation studio and its director in charge is Hiroyuki Morita, recognized for his work in anime such as “Attack on Titan” and “anohana: The Flower We Saw that Day“.
The action-fantasy-harem light novel “Seiken Gakuin no Makentsukai,” also known as “The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy” in the West, began publication at Media Factory’s MF Bunko J imprint in May 2019. The work is written by Yuu Shimizu and illustrated by Asaki Toosaka.
The work received a favorable reception from the public, which led to the beginning of the serialization of its manga adaptation in November 2019 in Kadokawa Publishing House’s Monthly Shonen Ace magazine. The illustrations of this manga were made by Asuka Keigen.
