The respective official media for the anime adaptation of the manga The Darwin Incident (Darwin Jihen) announced that the series is scheduled to premiere in Japan in January 2026. Additionally, a promotional video for the anime The Darwin Incident has been shared, as well as a new visual image. The series will be produced by the animation studio Bellnox Films.
Previously, the production team involved in the anime The Darwin Incident was introduced: Naokatsu Tsuda and Katsuichi Nakayama are in charge of the direction of the anime: The animation studio Bellnox Films is in charge of the production of the anime. Shinichi Inotsume is in charge of the anime’s scripts. Shinpei Tomooka is in charge of the anime’s character design.
At the moment, The Darwin Incident anime did not present any information about its voice cast.

Darwin Jihen, also known as The Darwin Incident in the West, is a Sci-Fi manga that is written and illustrated by Shun Umezawa. This manga began its serialization in the Monthly Afternoon magazine of Japanese publisher Kodansha since June 2020. Currently, Darwin Jihen is still in publication and has 8 compilation volumes published in total.
In May 2024, TOHO Animation announced the production of an anime adaptation for The Darwin Incident manga.
