The Accountant 2

The Accountant 2; a passionate film of action and emotions.

Before starting this review we want to thank Warner Bros. MX for the invitation to see The Accountant 2, we want to say that we enjoyed it very much and we also look forward to this review.

It has been almost 10 years since we saw the premiere of the first part of The Accountant 2, so now we can see in the protagonist Christian Wolf is a series of problems more to doc at his age. Despite being an expert at his jobs, we see how his condition still limits him to find a partner or not to think too much about things.

What will we see in Contador 2?

It all begins with the murder of a retired agent, who had the mission to find a missing migrant family, but when he tries to contact a paid “agent” who can fulfill this mission, he is murdered. So a Treasury Department official sets herself the goal of finding every single clue that leads to the person who committed the crime.

All this unleashes Christian to be connected again with the criminal world, but this time not only, we will see that his brother returns, a very effective criminal for hire, this one alive at the end of the first movie and thanks to him Christian will be able to join many loose ends after the death of the person who protected him so much.

El Contador 2

Something that makes “The Accountant 2” special, is that it is a film that puts several difficult situations or little explored within the film one of them is that we have as a protagonist a person with the spectrum “functional autistic” letting us see his emotions, his feelings and how he can get to have some difficult situation to relate to more people and be the same. So it is a little easier as a viewer to connect with him at different times of the film.

Within the film we also see the fate of migrant families in search of the so-called “American dream”, as we see that one of the main actresses went through it, how she lost her family, what it was like to leave a child behind and various situations to which they are forced to live by the simple fact of wanting to have a better life, making this situation a little more visible and hoping that not only remains as a resource in a movie but can get to have an awareness about these situations.

El Contador 2 Mision

Something we should also note about The Accountant 2 is that the chemistry/relationship that Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal have is exceptional, all the time they keep you focused on the screen, either for an important action scene or a moment too sentimental but they take a turn without warning to comedy, it is simply amazing how well these two actors complemented each other to bring us this film.

It should be noted that The Accountant 2 is not for all audiences as we find gunshots, corpses and blood even under the stones, this only makes an action movie not only stay in the classic American hero who can against an army of 1000 men without limit of weapons or ammunition, gives more plot and explores things beyond all typical situation in all this type of films. And that makes it a great movie to go see with a friend or family but with a more serious criterion and age.

El Contador 2 2

Do we recommend it?

El Contador 2 is a great movie, it’s enjoyable from beginning to end, you don’t stop being inside the film, with mixed emotions, a bit of tension in the action scenes but you won’t spend more than five minutes without laughing again. The duo we have in the film is wonderful, you feel the connection of these actors and of course the way they take difficult situations is quite good.
