The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You anime has the following description: Rentarou Aijou is a young man who has experienced numerous love disappointments. Exhausted from this situation, it seems that fortune smiles on him for the first time when he comes across a curious shrine that caught his attention.
After performing a prayer at a shrine, the god of the place grants him an amazing opportunity: to meet a hundred soul mates at his high school. Although skeptical at first, Rentarou soon discovers the truth of the god’s words when two girls, Hakari Hanazono and Karane Inda, confess their love to him the same day they meet him.
However, the god omits a crucial catch: if either of his soul mates fails to establish a relationship with him, she will face death. Now, with the fate of his one hundred soul mates in his hands, Rentarou decides to accept the challenge and date them all. With a brave and generous heart, Rentarou embarks on an emotional and chaotic journey, as his family of soul mates continues to grow.
Amidst situations both hilarious and romantic, “The 100 True Loves” explores Rentarou’s struggle to keep all of his crushes happy as he attempts to deepen his connections with each of them. Will he be able to keep his promise to be the perfect boyfriend for all of them or will he face the heartbreaking consequences?
