After confirming the premiere of its fourth season in July of this year, the anime adaptation of the light novel Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari (The Rising of the Shield Hero) has provided new information about its new installment.
The first promotional video for the fourth season of Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari was released on its official website. The video not only offers a first glimpse of the season, but also features the opening and ending themes (OP and ED) for the upcoming season.
Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari reveals an impressive trailer for its Season 4
The opening theme song for the fourth season of Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari will be performed by MADKID and titled “Resolution,” while the ending theme song will be performed by Chiai Fujikawa and titled “Eien ni Ikkai no.”
As previously mentioned, the fourth season of the Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari anime will premiere in Japan in July of this year. Additionally, this season will be streamed legally in America through the Crunchyroll platform.
The production team for the fourth season of Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari is as follows: Hitoshi Gaga is directing the anime. The animation studio Kinema Citrus is producing the anime. Keigo Koyanagi is supervising the anime scripts. Franziska van Wulfen, Sana Komatsu, and Masahiro Suwa are designing the anime characters. Kevin Penkin is composing the anime’s soundtrack.
Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari has the following description:
The Four Cardinal Heroes are a group of ordinary men from modern-day Japan summoned to the kingdom of Melromarc to become its saviors. Melromarc is a country ravaged by the Waves of Catastrophe, which have repeatedly ravaged the land and brought disaster to its citizens for centuries.
The four heroes are respectively given a sword, a spear, a bow, and a shield to defeat these Waves. Naofumi Iwatani, an otaku, is cursed with the destiny of being the “Shield Hero.” Armed only with a meager shield, Naofumi is looked down upon and ridiculed by his fellow heroes and the people of the kingdom due to his poor offensive ability and lackluster personality.
When the heroes are given resources and partners to train with, Naofumi sets out with the only person willing to train alongside him, Malty Melromarc. However, he is soon betrayed by her and falsely accused of taking advantage of her. Naofumi then finds himself severely discriminated against and hated by the people of Melromarc for something he hasn’t done.
With a raging storm of pain and distrust in his heart, Naofumi begins his journey to strengthen himself and his reputation. However, as he progresses, the difficulty of being alone becomes apparent, so Naofumi buys a near-death demi-human slave named Raphtalia to accompany him on his travels.
As the Waves approach the kingdom, Naofumi and Raphtalia must fight for the kingdom’s survival and protect the inhabitants of Melromarc from their dire future.
