Today, fans of harem genre manga with a lot of “richness” and “fan service” have been surprised, as it has been reported that the manga “Tales of Wedding Rings” (Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari) is very close to end. A story that stood out a few seasons ago with its anime adaptation where we could see a varied cast of beautiful “waifus” and that had touches of comedy, isekai, as well as a very interesting plot where the protagonist would fulfill the dream of several otakus which evidently is to save the world, while several girls fall madly in love with him.
Tales of Wedding Rings reveals the exact date when their story will come to an end!
The official media of the magazine “Monthly Big Gangan” under the seal of the Japanese publisher Square Enix has announced that the fantasy, harem and “ricura” work, called “Tales of Wedding Rings” (Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari) Scythian and illustrated by “Maybe”, will come to an end this coming July 25 when the last chapter will be published in issue number 8 of the magazine for the year 2024. So far the work has a total of 14 collected volumes, a figure that will rise to 15 when the final chapters are compiled in the last volume.
“Tales of Wedding Rings” (Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari) is a manga of the genre, fantasy, harem, isekai and fan service, written and illustrated by “Maybe”, whose publication date and serialization began on March 24, 2014 in the magazine “Monthly Big Gangan” of the Japanese publisher Square Enix. In January 2023, it was announced that the story would have an anime adaptation by the studio “Staple Entertainment” whose production team would be led by Takashi Naoya, with scripts by Hitomi Mieno “Deko Akao” and character design by Saori Nakashiki.
“Tales of Wedding Rings” had 12 episodes and premiered on January 6, 2024 during the winter season, later at the end of its broadcast on March 23 of the same year, it was announced that a second season was in production and that more updates would be released over time.
“Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari” also known in the West by its English title as “Tales of Wedding Rings” tells the story of an ordinary high school boy named Satou and his childhood friend Hime aka Krystal Novaty Nokanatika, princess of the kingdom of Nokanatika in another world. The plot introduces us to a Satou whose memory of Hime is the one she cherished one day on a mountain when a flash of light blinded them.
From that moment on, the two became neighbors and friends, until one day when Hime, who is older and in high school, says goodbye to Staou out of the blue and tells him that she has to return to her homeland. Satou being in love with her, decides to go to look for her when she enters a pore of light that transports him to another world. Thus begins the adventure of our protagonist in “Tales of Wedding Rings” who discovers that his childhood friend is a princess who carries a powerful ring whose personality is to fulfill an arranged marriage so that the new “King of the Ring” returns.
But this is not all, as Hime, in love with Satou decides to break her marriage and give the ring to him, which leads Satou to become her husband and new King of the Ring in this new world. A title that leads him to embark on a journey with Hime to now marry the 4 most ring-bearing princesses in order to awaken the power within him and defeat the “King of the Abyss”.
