Just a few months before the 30th anniversary of one of the most successful franchises of the developer and distributor Bandai Namco, “Tales Of”, fans received new news. As a commemoration, it has been confirmed the release of the remaster of one of the best games of the franchise, “Tales of Graces: f”, originally released for Nintendo’s Wii, the Sony PlayStation 3, and now it will arrive as a multiplatform game, with a tentative date already announced.

After so many titles and years of success, one of the most acclaimed titles by users will arrive in 2025 as a remastering, the announcement was made in recent hours during the presentation “Indie World + Nintendo Direct” of 40 minutes where many nostalgic and quality titles were announced. “Tales of Graces: f Remastered” will have many new options and will be released worldwide on January 17, 2025, so the wait will not be too long for Tales of Graces fans.
In this remastering project we will be able to meet the trio of friends Asbel, Sophie and Richard as children, this action and role-playing adventure will have several improvements compared to the original 2010 work. Among them we can find the icons of destiny, improved graphics, enable or disable the battles with enemies and downloadable content from the original game. Battles will continue to have the special touch of modern “Tales of” games with a “Linear Motion Battle System”, which is shared with most 1vs1 fighting games such as Street Fighter, where the player can also enjoy stop-motion in every fight.
To understand how successful this RPG is, one must take into account the number of cumulative sales of the 17 titles released of this franchise, which give a total of 25,000,000. These were staged since 1995 with Tales of Phansia for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and its last release being “Arise” in 2021. Now comes this remastering of Tales of Graces f, a game that was released exclusively for Nintendo Wii (Japan) and PlayStation 3 consoles and was released in 2009 for Wii (Japan) and in 2010 for PS3.
Graces f of 2009/2010, is the 12th installment of the franchise and the penultimate in charge of the developer “Namco Tales Studio”, Bandai Namco had for a huge period of time an exclusive studio in charge of the “Tales of” saga. However, since the 14th installment “Xillia 2” and after 18 years of joys, it becomes part of Namco Bandai Games who in 12 years have published 4 games and a 5th which will be this remaster in 2025. The cause is the excessive release of RPG’s in the last decade and the opening to new high quality games that take years to be published.
Tales of Graces f, now in charge of Bandai Namco Europe, will have the obligation to follow the original line of the game: a story of magic and fantasy, but with touches of politics and social problems, with excellent character development and a story of true and unbreakable friendship that transcends time and can be felt even in the midst of the crises experienced during the game. Tales of Graces f, will be the second videogame released for the next-gen consoles, its predecessor of 2021 for PS5 and Xbox Series S|X “Tales of Arise” was a success by the specialized critics and continues to be of great interest to the gaming community.
