The 10th anniversary celebration of the Sword Art Online franchise seems far from over and now Kadokawa announced the official release of an official art book of the popular action fantasy series.
Asuna and Kirito celebrate Sword Art Online’s tenth anniversary with an artbook
The official cover of the artbook stars Asuna and Kirito, who are sporting their recognizable look seen in Sword Art Online: Alicization, the latest arc of the light novel that was adapted into anime. In the first instance, it highlights how beautiful Asuna Yuuki looks as Goddess of Creation Stacia, making fans fall in love with her all-white dress that contrasts perfectly with her pale skin and gives her an angelic aura.
The art book titled The Game Sword Art Online 10th Anniversary Official Design Works book, as its name suggests, focuses on presenting unpublished material such as character designs and concepts of the official video games of the franchise that have accompanied us during all these years.
The official website of Famitsu Dengeki mentions that we will find unpublished materials from games such as Memory Defrag, Integral Factor, Fatal Bullet, Arcade Deep Explorer, Unleash Blading, Alicization Lycoris, Valiant Showdown and Last Recollection.
It should be noted that The Game Sword Art Online 10th Anniversary Official Design Works Book went on sale in Japan on January 12 of this year with a recommended retail price of 4,950 yen (tax included) and contains a total of 456 pages in A4 size.
Endless celebration of SAO’s tenth anniversary
The celebration of the tenth anniversary of Sword Art Online is a party that has officially started in Japan more than a year ago and the announcements seen in recent months seem to indicate that the franchise will continue throughout this year with special events and unreleased merchandise.
Although it is important to note that first the tenth anniversary of the light novel was celebrated, then the tenth anniversary of the anime adaptation and now it is the tenth release since SAO launched an official video game.
