As usual, every month different video games are added to the library of the Sony Playstation service: PS Plus, although now the most benefited were the fans of Sword Art Online, and 5 of its titles will be added as part of the catalog this August. Several Sword Art Online games coming to PS Plus this August
Sword Art Online is a huge franchise that has more than 10 video games, 14 manga series, 3 light novels, 2 movies, Ovas and 5 anime seasons, the first being in 2012 and the most recent in 2020. Both the movies and the anime adaptations were in charge of A-1 Pictures studios, SAO being one of their greatest works.
But what really excites the anime-loving community is the saga of 5 Sword Art Online video games that PlayStation Plus will include in its August catalog, more precisely on August 20, when they will become playable for members of the service. Games that tell peculiar stories and of great graphic quality, like the most recent one that was released for PS5 consoles and will now be in the PlayStation Plus catalog. The SAO games that will enter the service are:

Each video game has its own specialty, Last Recollection includes recurring characters in aerial battles, being an online multiplayer, making it even more attached to SAO’s plot. Hollow Realization is another online multiplayer with VR feature that allows battles of up to 16 players with fierce aspects where only the most skilled will come out on top. Fatal Bullet is set in the world of Gun Gale Online and is a third-person adventure shooter where enemies and allies will be familiar faces and not so much from Sword Art Online.
The 2 video games that close the list are perhaps the most anticipated by the community, Alicization Lycoris which is considered the last RPG released by the franchise, set in Underworld and bringing together many familiar faces of the story, having real-time battles with weapons, enhanced magic and handling our or our favorite characters. And the most awaited and best rated, the graphic quality taken to the top, Sword Art Online: Lost Song, which has the largest arsenal of playable characters and scenarios of the plot, new arcs, and unique challenges for the hero Kirito.
The Witcher 3, Wildhearts and more also coming to accompany SAO games
It was also revealed that video games with unique and unprecedented plots such as Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs 2 are coming, being the second of the trilogy and the highest rated after Watch Dogs: L3GION. Wildhearts is another 2023 release for next generation consoles, which is reminiscent of titles like Monster Hunter and also arrives to the PlayStation Plus catalog with impressive graphics. Another very interesting and unprecedented plot is Cult Of The Lamb, one of the most ambitious games for the narrative and definitely not for everyone: create our own sect defeating enemies through mazes in a “Roguelike” genre, also allows you to customize our sect through all kinds of aspects, it is a fast, fun and replayable game.
But the game that takes the plaudits in the August catalog for PlayStation Plus is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which has become a cult game, boasting one of the best narratives in history, impressive graphic quality and on the PS5 that has a graphically enhanced version. And now it will have the PS4 and PS5 version, so players will be able to try it for the first time or relive the exciting story of Geralt of Rivia thanks to its addition to the PS Plus catalog.
