What anime fans love most is to commemorate important dates, as it is in this case with Sword Art Online, which two years ago in the anime timeline, launched its servers for the first time to the general public, which in the series had many people eager to get into the game. So much so that the launch was a complete success, what many would not imagine would be what would happen shortly after connecting to it, which would leave the fate of the players to chance.
Sword Art Online opened its servers two years ago
Just today, November 6, Sword Art Online opened its servers to more than ten thousand new players, only to find that no one could log out of the game for any reason, which caused distress. But it got worse when creator Akihiko Kabaya informed players that in order to log out they had to be over level 100 and that if they tried to take away the NerveGear or died in the game, they would die in real life as well.
So this started an unimaginable adventure for all the players where they would risk their lives to get back to reality, it was no longer just a video game, but a matter of life or death. And without a doubt, this was the beginning of one of the most famous anime series in the world, which still keeps fans excited and expectant with everything it has shown us since the broadcast of its first episode.
Although the first season of Sword Art Online aired 12 years ago, fans still remember it fondly, as it was a series that became important in the lives of the people who watched it for the first time. That’s why many fondly remember the events that happened in the series, since for many people remembering these dates is something fundamental to show their love for the show, such as the opening of the Sword Art Online servers on November 6, 2022, according to the series’ narrative.
There are many fans who celebrate the commemoration of these important dates for the community in different ways, such as playing the first installment of the Sword Art Online video game, watching the first season from chapter one to relive all the past emotions or posting images alluding to the series on social media. However it is, people who fell in love with this anime and who have made it one of their favourites celebrate with great passion this milestone in the history of anime and do it with great pride.
So it is important to know that there is still a large part of the community that, despite the fact that the original story of Sword Art Online is somehow over for the time being, still continue to show the same affection they have for the series from the first moment it was released to the public. So why not celebrate it in whatever way you like, either by watching the series, making some fanart or simply commenting on social networks.
Let’s hope that in the meantime the fans of this series continue with the same fervour and affection in the following years to come in the future. Meanwhile, tomorrow we will have to commemorate another equally important date for what was the plot of Sword Art Online, as November 7 will be the day that the nightmare of many people in the game came to an end, so expect publications on networks of this event tomorrow.
