While waiting for the premiere of the second season of its anime adaptation, the light novel Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online has announced its return after almost 2 years since the release of its 13th volume.
This news was confirmed in the respective official media of the publisher KADOKAWA, where it was specified that the new volume of the light novel Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online, listed as number 14, is scheduled to be released for sale in bookstores and stores in Japan on October 10. Additionally, the official website of the publisher KADOKAWA presented the stunning official cover of volume #14.
Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online light novel announced its return after 2 years
Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online is a light spin-off novel of Reki Kawahara’s Sword Art Online novel written by Keiichi Sigsawa and illustrated by Kouhaku Kuroboshi. The work began publication in ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko imprint in December 2014 and currently has 13 volumes published.
The light novel Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online has its respective manga adaptation, which was published in the Dengeki Maoh magazine of ASCII Media Works. This manga adaptation is in charge of Tadadi Tamori.
On April 8, 2018, the light novel Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online released its anime adaptation which was made up of a total of 12 episodes. The anime studio 3Hz is in charge of its production and it is legally available on the Crunchyroll platform.
In July 2023, the anime Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online announced the production of its second season, which is scheduled to premiere in Japan on October 4 of this year and will be broadcast legally and simultaneously through the Crunchyroll platform.
