Something to highlight from this promotional video for the second season of the anime Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online is that it shows a preview of the opening theme song, which will be performed by the renowned Japanese artist “ReoNa” and will be titled “GG“. As previously mentioned, “Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online II” is scheduled to be released in Japan in the course of October this year.
Recall that the first season of the anime adaptation of the light novel “Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online” began its broadcast on television in Japan last April 8, 2018 and the series consisted of a total of 12 episodes. The animation studio “Studio 3Hz” was in charge of its production and the anime is available legally through the Crunchyroll platform.
Previously, the staff members who will participate in the production of the second season of the anime Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale were presented: The new season of the anime will be directed by Masayuki Sakoi, who returns to take charge of the direction. The animation studio in charge of the production will be A-1 Pictures (being that the animation studio Studio 3Hz belongs to A-1 Pictures). Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online follows Karen Kohiruimaki, an above-average college student who has trouble fitting into society. She is 183 centimeters (6 feet) tall and is uncomfortable with her height, which makes it difficult for her to interact with other people in the real world. In an effort to escape these insecurities, Karen finds refuge in the virtual world of Gun Gale Online. In this game universe, she transforms into Llenn, an avatar just 150 centimeters (5 feet) tall, dressed entirely in pink.
In this world of action and adventure, Llenn meets a charismatic and bold female gamer known as Pitohui. As they develop a friendship, Llenn finds herself fascinated by Pitohui’s carefree attitude and gaming skill. However, their relationship takes a turn when Pitohui pressures her to participate in the “Squad Jam,” a team-based version of the Battle Royale tournament known as Bullet of Bullets.
Llenn must overcome her fears and prove her gaming prowess to survive this action-packed event, challenging her opponents with cunning and skill. Meanwhile, outside the game, Karen must face her insecurities and learn to live in harmony with her stature. All of this is framed in a story full of action, emotions and moments of self-improvement, making it a thrilling journey for viewers.
