The light novel Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) made a surprising appearance at the special event celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint, and brought a series of news that amazed the fans of this franchise. At the Sneaker Bunko 35th Anniversary FESTA! event, the light novel Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu announced its comeback after more than 2 years since the release of its volume #12, titled “Suzumiya Haruhi no Chokkan”.
The light novel Suzumiya Haruhi is back!
The release date of this new volume of the light novel is still unknown. However, it was specified that this volume, which will be counted as the volume #13 of the work, will be titled “Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekijou”. Additionally, the official illustrator of the light novel, Noizi Itou, has prepared a special illustration to celebrate this amazing news.
But that’s not all, because at this special event it was confirmed that the “mythical” concert of the year 2009, titled “Suzumiya Haruhi no Gensou”, will also make its triumphant return after 15 years. Under the title “Susumiya Haruhi no Gensou Revival”, it will feature the participation of the voice actresses Aya Hirano (VA: Haruhi Suzumiya) and Minori Chihara (VA: Yuki Nagato), as well as the presence of the “master of ceremonies” Minoru Shiraishi (Taniguchi) and Megumi Matsumoto (Kunikida). The composer Satoru Kousaki will be a “Temporary Member of the SOS Brigade” and the random draw for the advance ticket sale will be valid until next October 8.
“Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu” is a captivating story that begins in the seemingly ordinary setting of a high school. Kyon, a skeptical and pragmatic student, gets involved in a series of extraordinary events when he meets Haruhi Suzumiya, a young girl determined to search for the supernatural in a world that she considers dull.
The plot unfolds with the formation of the SOS Brigade, a club founded by Haruhi to explore the inexplicable. Composed of Kyon and three other members, each one hides their own mysteries related to the enigmatic leader. Together, they embark on adventures that defy logic and lead them to discover the true nature of Haruhi.
As the narrative progresses, Kyon finds himself trapped in a vortex of puzzles and challenges that bring him closer to a shocking revelation about the essence of Haruhi and her role in the universe. “Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu” is a work that will immerse you in a world where the everyday and the extraordinary intertwine in an intriguing and surprising plot.
