The Super Mario Bros. saga has been characterized by the large number of characters it has, being that one of the most interesting themes is how for each “good” protagonist there is a “bad” counterpart, a clear example of this we have Wario, the evil version of Mario or Waluigi of Luigi, but a few days ago it was announced that the famous Princess Peach would also have her own rival, in this case called Wapeach, which thanks to some sketches surprised the game community, which did not take long to create all kinds of works based on it, as this new illustration that shows us how she would look like if she were real.
Wapeach is realistically recreated by a Super Mario Bros. fan.
This new series of illustrations were shared by a user of the social network Instagram, surprising fans of the Super Mario Bros. video game saga for different reasons, one of the most interesting being that it is based on a character that was discarded at the time, but whose existence was announced a few days ago, the “rival” of Princess Peach, Wapeach, and also presents her in the closest way to what she would look like if she were real.
In order to recreate Wapeach, the different sketches that were published to demonstrate the existence of the character were taken as a base, being that in both cases a very similar clothing is maintained, being that the “waifu” that was going to be part of the Super Mario Bros. franchise has in her clothes a full body dress in violet color with sleeves that cover part of her arms in black color and black boots, which are present in these illustrations. We can also see on the top of Wapech’s head what would be her crown along with some accessories that complement it.
Wapeach, being a “rival” of Peach, was going to have features very similar to those of the Princess, so we can see that aspects such as blonde hair color is present in this girl, but also in the illustration Wapeach was presented with a very voluptuous body, so in addition to the realistic look, she was also given a little more “spicy”. On the other hand, in some of the images we can see the discarded character of Super Mario Bros. in some tennis courts, and is that she was going to be part of the saga of sports video games of this style, so they make sense from that side.
As we mentioned, Wapeach was going to be a character that would be part of the Super Mario Bros. video game series, being that it was Fumihide Aoki, creator of Waluigi, who shared the official sketches of what could be her design, confirming that she would debut in the original version of “Mario Tennis”, Wapeach finally decided not to be launched because Nintendo was not very enthusiastic about the existence of an “evil” version of a character as beloved as Princess Peach, although this may not be the end of Wapeach, as many fans were very excited about this character, so in the future it could become official.
The Super Mario Bros. franchise is undoubtedly one of the most important in the world, not only in video games where it stands out the most, but also in popular culture, since some of its characters, such as Mario himself, have transcended the different titles of the saga, and this year “Super Mario Bros. Wonder” was released, one of the best titles of the franchise. The Super Mario Bros. Movie”, considered one of the best animated movies of the year and which, although a sequel has not been officially confirmed, is expected to be announced in the future.
