Super Mario Bros Wonder is coming to Nintendo Switch in a few weeks. Although all fans of the plumber are more than excited, we never expected to have confirmation about the type of women that Bowser, the main villain of the entire franchise, likes. Although the king of the Koopas is known for his eternal crush on Princess Peach, this new promotional video that Nintendo posted on its social networks has just confirmed that he also likes big girls. Naturally, fans applauded the character for being so “based” and the memes were quick to appear.
Bowser x Peach Elephant became canon!
This new promotional video for Super Mario Bros Wonder is one of the most adorable commercials we’ve seen: In this one, Bowser offers a single flower to Princess Peach. She doesn’t respond because suddenly an Elephant Apple (one of the game’s new power-ups) appears and transforms the princess into an adorable pink elephant. At first, King Koopa is stunned by Peach’s new appearance, but immediately pulls out an even bigger bouquet of flowers, confirming that he likes this much better. And we honestly can’t blame him. After all, Bowser is a big guy, so it makes sense that he’d want to be with someone his size.
The reception from all over the internet about this video has been incredibly positive, and it makes complete sense. It’s a fun and adorable animation, giving us a perfect glimpse into Bowser’s personality and preferences. This has sparked reactions of all kinds, from adorable fanarts to comparisons to Biscuit Oliva, the well-known character from the anime Baki. The best part is that fans were already shipping King Koopa with Peach Elephant from the moment Super Mario Bros Wonder was announced, but having this official confirmation from Nintendo changed everything. Now it became canon.
Bowser x Peach Elephant did not take long to become one of the internet’s favorite trends. You have to admit that the talent of the people who made all these fan arts and memes is really impressive. Not to mention that it’s not the first time that King Koopa is a victim of the community’s witticisms. I’m sure you still remember Bowsette. However, thanks to how adorable the original video is, how cute this couple looks and the healthy body positivity factor, this meme became one of the cutest in recent years.
