And for many it did not disappoint, with world-class announcements such as a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, the long-awaited collaboration between Stellar Blade and NieR: Automata and other big announcements, so this event was full of news for gaming fans.

State Of Play surprises everyone with its ads: Here are the best ones

State Of Play

First of all, it should be noted that the State of Play did not leave aside the PS VR2 video games and it was a presentation mostly of titles for the PS5 console, showing very few deliveries for the PS4. The event started with a strong start announcing free downloadable content for “Astro Bot” which includes 5 new online levels in “Speed run” mode and 10 new Bots to rescue, officially announcing only 2 which are the reference to Helldivers 2 and Eve from Stellar Blade, still without an exact release date, but will arrive before winter 2024.

The second videogame has the setting of Tim Burton’s works and touches of Bandai Namco’s “Litte Nightmares” saga. From the creators of one of Electronic Arts’ hidden gems, “Lost in Random” will arrive for Playstation 5 and PS VR2 “The Midnight Walk” courtesy of Moon Hood Studios, with no estimated release date. Also for PS5 was announced “Hell Is Us” an apparent Soulslike with medieval and futuristic setting reminiscent of Hideo Kojima’s “Death Stranding”, the mysterious game will be the responsibility of NACON and Rogue Factor and has no release date.

In the middle of big legal problems with Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, indie game studios Pocketpair decide to announce the release of their smash hit “Palworld” for the PlayStation 5. Until now the game had been an Xbox exclusive, but from now on it will be supported for Sony console users.

State Of Play Hell Is Us

Another big announcement was the cinematic preview and extended gameplay of the sequel to “Dragon Age: The Veilguard”, which will be the responsibility of Bioware, studios that have released mostly quality games such as the Mass Effect and Dragon Age trilogies. “The Veilguard” showed the fight against a Dragon and another boss, plus scenes with a high level of detail level, 10 years have passed since the last ‘Dragon Age’ in 2014, and the successor will be multiplatform for next-generation consoles with a release confirmed for next October 31.

One of the best announcements of the State Of Play was Monster Hunter: Wilds another installment of a franchise that has become cult, Wilds will have new mechanics and new types of assists, plus a completely different story to the one we already knew. Capcom took us by surprise with this cinematic preview, as the graphics presented showed impressive details convincing millions to become the video game, in addition to confirming its release date on February 28, 2025 and presales from September 24.

A State Of Play announcement that was already quite rumored was a remake of Horizon: Zero Dawn title of 2015 and that almost 10 years later will have impressive graphical improvements, perhaps PC users enjoy these improvements, but users of the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 have not had the joy of seeing what Zero Dawn has to offer in the new generation graphics engine. The story of Aloy in a post-apocalyptic world will be released as a remake on October 31 on PS5 and PC and for those who have the PS4 game will be available for 9.99 dollars equivalent to $196 Mexican pesos.

One of the bets that many gamers had made regarding the future collaborations that Stellar Blade would have and that the same video game had announced that it would have by mid-December, more confirmed with whom it became a reality: “Nier: Automata x Stellar Blade”. Two great franchises with a similar history join forces, two heroines and great waifus of video games: the beautiful 2B of Nier, 2017 game from Square Enix and the huge Yoko Taro together with the haha Eve of Stellar Blade from Shift Up will share a stunning skin in Stellar Blade, perhaps one of the most iconic collaborations of recent years.

A minimal sector of Sony: PlayStation fans predicted this announcement and it came as a second chance for Sucker Punch studios to bring a sequel to the acclaimed and recognized title of 2020 “Ghost Of Tsushima” which will now be titled “Ghost Of Yotei” set 2 centuries after the events of the historical events of the first game.

Set between the years 1500-1600, we will have as protagonist a female character, feisty and fearless, this advance that purely cinematic left us satisfied and with the hope that Sucker Punch has more future projects “Ghost of” as PlayStation exclusives, in the beginning it was shown as an Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, but as it progressed it showed itself vastly superior and was undoubtedly the best preview of the State Of Play and with which they closed one more event of this 2024, its release will be next 2025 without a month or estimated period.
