Spy x Family is one of the works that in recent years has had an explosion of popularity, increased even more thanks to the recent movie that was available not only in Japan, but in several countries, including America. And today it’s our turn to talk about one of the characters of the famous title, Anya Forger, as she delights us with a new figure that surprised many, as it is inspired by the clothing of Buddhist priests.

This time the figure presented recreates Anya Forger cosplaying Buddha as we can see in the different images that make up this product. Here we can appreciate her with one of her unique facial expressions, while she is sitting cross-legged and her right hand raised, palm outward and fingers pointing upward. In turn, the other hand rests on her lap with palm facing outward.
The gesture described above that the figure tries to recreate is called Mudra Abhaya, which according to Buddhist culture symbolizes peace, protection, benevolence and dispels fear, where the girl also wears a Buddhist robe of a very characteristic orange color, so Anya would be looking to bless whoever acquires this figure. At the same time we also appreciate how she is sitting on a golden base, with details that we can assume is an arrangement that tries to emulate the petals of the flowers and behind her a circular ornament that we believe is intended to enhance the divinity of the collectible.
The Anya Forger figure is by the “GULUGULU” studio, under their “Eastern Mythology” line. Currently, the sculpture has a pre-order status with an estimated release date of December 2024. Likewise, there are two versions of the figure with similar characteristics, except for the dimension of each of the versions presented, which can be purchased through different websites, such as the one in this link.
The first version of the figure is the one with a 1/2 scale, which means that the figure is twice smaller than the official size of the character. This version has a base price of $333.00 dollars. To be more specific with the dimensions, this one has a height (47 centimeters), depth (27 centimeters) and width (27 centimeters).
The next edition of the Anya figure is a smaller one, with a scale of 1/6 and a price of $91.00 dollars. For this case we are also given dimensions to have a greater certainty of its size, which are: height (16 centimeters), depth (9 centimeters) and width (9 centimeters). In addition, it is worth mentioning that it specifies that for the 1/2 version there is a limit of 188 units.
Spy x Family is a manga created by Tatsuya Endo, which currently has 100 chapters and 13 compilation volumes, which can be enjoyed in Spanish, as it was licensed by the Ivrea publishing house, and if you wish to read it in digital format, it is also available through the Manga plus platform. In addition, the work has inspired an anime adaptation under the collaboration of Clover Works and Wit Studio that had two seasons and a movie that had its premiere in these parts a few months ago.
The plot of Spy x Family takes us to a world where there are two nations in conflict, Westalis and Ostania, whose relationship is delicate, because at any moment the fragile relationship can trigger a war again. In this context we are introduced to Twilight, one of the best spies of Westalis who is assigned one of the most important missions: to infiltrate a prestigious school where the son of a crucial politician attends, in order to discover its secrets, and for this he has to form a family.
Adopting the name of Loid Forger, he undertakes his mission where he will meet Anya, who will be his daughter, but who hides a great secret: she has psychic powers, and Yor, who will take the role of mother, however, she also has a secret as she is a professional assassin. With this unique cast, a family story of comedy is unleashed, while chapter by chapter we explore the relationship between the characters, where the fake family that had been formed for their own interests seems to take on a truer tone as time goes by.
