Sousou no Frieren causes commotion even within Japan

Other people praised MadHouse’s production work, making the observation that for them the character design was superior to the action presented in the story.

Several people agreed that the popularity of the anime was not a surprise, but rather the result of a constant work week after week where the high quality of the animation was noticeable.
There is no doubt that Sousou no Frieren is a series that captured the hearts of the public with its beautiful story, characters and the great work that is being done to bring to life the events told in the manga. All together, they manage to create a wonderful experience for the fans and keep them trapped following the path of Frieren, this powerful and beautiful sorceress. So it is only to be expected that it has become such a popular franchise both inside and outside of Japan.
Sousou no Frieren, also known as Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End in the West, is an intriguing manga that fuses adventure and fantasy. This masterpiece is written by Kanehito Yamada and beautifully illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. The work began its publication in the pages of the prestigious Shonen Sunday magazine, under the Shogakukan publishing imprint, since April 2020. To date, the manga has been collected in a total of 12 volumes.
Thanks to the enormous popularity of the Sousou no Frieren manga in recent years, an anime adaptation of the manga was announced in September 2022.
The anime adaptation of the manga Sousou no Frieren premiered in Japan on September 29, 2023 and is produced by the renowned animation studio MADHOUSE. The series aired legally in America through the Crunchyroll platform, which is currently producing an English dub for the anime.
