The “Sousou no Frieren” franchise, also known as Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, has been very successful, and now it has been confirmed, through several official media, that it will have an interesting experience that fans in Japan will be able to live in a real way. And this is about an escape room where several participants will join together to rescue the cute elf, all this with the help of several characters we saw during the series.
Sousou no Frieren to have its own “Escape Room” in Japan
Throughout the manga and anime of Sousou no Frieren, we could notice that Frieren managed to get the rest of the characters out of great trouble, being a great sorceress who used her magic for the common good, now in “Escape from the millenium dream” it will be the duty of the fans to rescue the sorceress par excellence, Frieren from a “dream” of which she is a victim. All this taking the role of hero in real life, along with the other protagonists and co-protagonists of this story of action, adventure and also friendship, as Himmel and Stark and the beautiful human sorceress and disciple Fern.
The escape room of Sousou no Frieren will be an immersive experience where a team of 3 people will have one hour to try to get our favorite sorceress, Frieren, out of her millenary dream. To do so, it is necessary to find a grimoire that contains the power to wake her up and bring her back to reality. Those who participate in this game will also get a special edition that includes a glass with an illustration of Himmel and Frieren with her back facing infinity with a field of flowers that lights up when cold drinks are inserted, as well as a hair pin arrangement that Fern has in her long purple hair.
This Sousou no Frieren experience will be available in some Japanese entertainment centers: in the second half of the year, from June 20 to September 23 it will be available at the Harajuku Store, at Okayama’s Olga Hall from July 20 to 21 and at Minamihorie Store from July 25 to September 29. It was also announced that other cities in Japan will also be able to enjoy this “Escape Room” such as: Sapporo, Sendai, Yokohama, Nagoya, and Fukuoka, no further details have been given by the developer so far.
Sousou no Frieren tells the story of the return of a group of heroes after their victory against the Demon King: Eissen, Heiter, Himmel and Frieren, after 10 years of a great journey, it is time for them to say goodbye, however, their races are very different and one by one the adventurers die. Frieren is an elf and does not yet understand what this end means.
On her deathbed, Heiter entrusts her to train Fern, who will accompany her for the rest of the “aimless” journey, and at a certain point the Stark hero joins her on her journey, visiting places where her old companions left their mark. Frieren faces some dilemmas not to establish more intimate relationships with his companions, so he undertakes a final journey to the place where they defeated the Demon King, in order to get an answer.
