Sousou no Frieren was one of the most popular anime of 2023 and this 2024, thanks to its narrative, character development, animation, but, above all, adaptation of the manga of the same name. On the other hand, it also featured one of the best and most vibrant soundtracks of 2023: “The Brave” by the incredible band YOASOBI and now that song is available in Fortnite for its rhythm game mode, making this a huge collaboration that impacted gamers around the world.
Sousou no Frieren soundtrack created by YOASOBI is now available in Fortnite
Epic Games‘ game has been known for making impressive collaborations with many companies to include characters ranging from singers, feature film characters, animated cartoons and of course anime such as My Hero Academia. And this can be a huge opportunity to bring to Fortnite the most popular and beloved characters of the franchise such as: Himmel, Fern, Stark and of course the sorceress supreme Frieren.
The most recent collaboration “Hunters” or “Demon Hunters” is in development and has been, like most of their new seasons, a success. However, the inclusion of the characters Frieren: Beyond the Journey’s End may be as successful as any season, as the adaptation captivated millions of its viewers and the anime fandom, who recognize it as one of the best anime of this 2024 and 2023.
Maybe the introduction of the soundtrack by the band YOASOBI is the first sign of the arrival of these peculiar characters to Epic Games’ “Battle Royale” or maybe it is just speculation by some of its users. It is worth remembering that this song was added to the list of other tracks that can be played in the rhythm game mode (Guitar Hero style) that Fortnite has, being currently available for purchase.
Also known as Frieren: Beyond the End of the Journey, it is a huge story of an elf with unimaginable magical powers who joins 3 other adventurers in order to overthrow “The Demon King” and thus maintain peace in a fictitious land. The interesting thing about this anime is the anachronistic story shown in the adaptation, as it begins with the arrival of the heroes after defeating the Demon King and as the series progresses, “flashbacks” of the most important adventures they experienced during their journey are shown.
Madhouse Studios divided this incredible series into 2 parts, starting in the fall season of 2023 and ending in winter 2024. Its 28 episodes reflect the quality of a great anime that was also supported with soundtracks by the ultra popular band YOASOBI, responsible for the “most searched song” on the music platform Spotify: “Idol” (Oshi no Ko).
