The renowned Japanese company Good Smile Company surprised fans of the anime adaptation of the light novel “Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai” (Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai) by announcing a new collaboration with the franchise. This collaboration will consist of the production of a nendoroid figure that will be inspired by the character Mai Sakurajima, the female protagonist of the series’ story, where we will be able to see her wearing her characteristic bunny girl outfit.
According to the information provided by the official website of Good Smile Company, this adorable nendoroid figure of Mai Sakurajima is scheduled to go on sale in Japan in August of this year.

As we have mentioned before, this adorable nendoroid figure of Mai Sakurajima presents this character with her typical bunny outfit with which we have known her in the anime series. It is worth noting that this nendoroid figure will feature some interchangeable parts that will allow the person interested in acquiring this lovely figure, to recreate the pose of Mai that is most to their liking.
Some of the optional faces that you will be able to replace will be a smiling face, embarrassed face and a surprised face, while the optional parts will allow you to show Mai with her arms crossed, pointing at something and more.
In addition, Good Smile Company specified in the technical section of the product that this figure will have a height of approximately 100 mm and will be available at a price of 6,500 yen. Another detail to note is that the pre-sale period of the Mai Sakurajima nendoroid figure is already underway and will end on April 10 of this year.
The light novel Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai, also known as Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai in the West, is a light novel that is written by Hajime Kamoshida and illustrated by Keiji Mizoguchi. The work began publication at ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko imprint since April 2014.
The work has a manga adaptation that began its publication in January 2016 through Dengeki G’s Comic magazine of ASCII Media Works (Kadokawa). It remains to note that the manga adaptation was carried out by illustrators Tsugumi Nanamiya (Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai), Asakusa Tsukumo (Seishun Buta Yarou wa Puchidebiru Kouhai no Yume wo Minai) and Tsukako Akina (Seishun Buta Yarou wa Rojikaru Witchi no Yume wo Minai).
On October 4, 2018, the light novel Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai released its anime adaptation which consisted of 12 episodes and 3 movies. In addition, the anime was produced by CloveWorks animation studio under the direction of Souichi Masui.
A few months ago, the official media for the anime adaptation of the light novel “Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai” announced the production of a new anime project that will cover the arc of the light novel “University Student Arc“. However, no new information about this new anime in the franchise has been released at this time.
Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai, also known as “Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai“, deals with the rare and unexplained puberty syndrome. In this world, this rare disease is considered a myth, as its unearthly symptoms make it difficult to recognize as a legitimate phenomenon. However, the protagonist, Sakuta Azusagawa, a high school student, knows from personal experience that this syndrome is very real and occurs frequently in his own high school.
The story centers on Mai Sakurajima, a third-year high school student who used to be a famous child actress, but has suspended her promising career for reasons unknown to the public. Mai has an aloof attitude that makes her widely known throughout the school, but no one dares to interact with her, until Sakuta sees her wandering around the library dressed in a flashy bunny costume. Curiously, no one seems to notice her presence, leading Sakuta to discover that Mai is also another victim of the enigmatic Puberty Syndrome.
As the plot progresses, Sakuta embarks on a mission to help Mai overcome the challenges and difficulties imposed on her by this mysterious disease. In the process, his actions bring him into contact with other girls who are also affected by this elusive syndrome. Together, they will try to unravel the secrets behind this supernatural phenomenon and find a way to overcome it.
