Seirei Gensouki Season 2 is confirmed

The official media for the anime adaptation of the light novel Seirei Gensouki (Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles) has presented to the public more details about its long-awaited second season, among which stands out the confirmation that this new installment of the series is scheduled to premiere in Japan in the course of October this year. Along with this incredible news, the anime Seirei Gensouki also presented a new promotional video for its second season, which shows a small preview to increase the hype of the fans.

But that’s not all, as the official media of the anime series Seirei Gensouki presented a visual image for the second season of the series, which will have as central characters Rio, Celia Claire, Latifa, Aishia and Miharu Ayase. Additionally, the new members of the voice cast that will participate in this second season of Seirei Gensouki were presented: Marika Kouno will play Aki Sendou, Aguri Onishi will take the role of Masato Sendou and Hiroyuki Yoshino will play Hiroaki Sakata.

Recall that in November 2021, the official media of the TV anime “Seirei Gensouki” announced the production of its second season. Months later, it was confirmed that this new installment of the series is scheduled to premiere in Japan later this year.

The production team for the second season of the anime “Seirei Gensouki” is as follows: Hiroshi Kubo will be in charge of directing the second season of the anime. Animation studio TMS Entertainment is in charge of producing the second season of the anime. Kyoko Yufu will be in charge of character design for the new anime installment. Osamu Yamasaki is in charge of writing the scripts for the second season of the anime along with Mitsutaka Hirota, Megumu Sasano and Yoshiko Nakamura.

Seirei Gensouki, also known as Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles in the West, is an isekai light novel written by Yuri Kitayama and illustrated by Riv. The work was first published by Hobby Japan’s HJ Bunko imprint in September 2015.

The plot of Seirei Gensouki has been adapted to manga, with Tenkla being in charge of the illustration. The manga version began publication through Hobby Japan publisher Hobby Japan’s Comic Fire website in October 2016.

July 5, 2021 marked the premiere of the anime adaptation of the Seirei Gensouki light novel. The series, consisting of a total of 12 episodes, was produced by animation studios TMS Entertainment and Wao World. For Latin American audiences, the legal simulcast of the anime was made available through the Crunchyroll platform. In addition, Crunchyroll worked on the English dubbing of the series.

Seirei Gensouki” immerses viewers in a captivating story that blends fantasy and adventure. The plot begins with Haruto Amakawa, a 20-year-old college student whose life takes an unexpected turn after he is killed in a car accident. Instead of finding eternal peace, Haruto awakens in a completely unknown world, inhabiting the body of a young man named Rio. As their memories and personalities intertwine, Rio discovers that he now possesses magical abilities.

Although his identity has changed, Rio’s intense determination to avenge his mother’s death still burns within him. The plot unfolds when, after saving the kidnapped princess of the Bertram kingdom, Rio is rewarded with the opportunity to enter the prestigious Bertram Royal Academy. This new chapter in his life seems promising, but the reality at the academy is challenging for Rio, a young man from a humble background facing the noble elite of society.
