Rikka Takarada is one of the most popular characters of Gridman Universe who has always captivated us with her incredible physique, especially her big thighs, which has delighted more than one fan around the world. But today we will not only talk about her immense physical proportions, but rather how it seems that recently Rikka has lost some weight and it has cost her the decrease of her exuberant curves.
Gridman Universe’s Rikka Takarada shocks fans with her weight loss
The official Twitter/X account of the animation studio Trigger “@trigger_inc” shared a post revealing a new line of products inspired by the Gridman Universe movie, apparently this is the first part of a series of items inspired by the film. Among the merchandise we can find life-size posters, acrylics and even some buttons of the characters.
Such merchandise has two versions, in the first one we can see mainly Rikka Takarada and Akane Shinjo with some sexy swimsuits that we must say, they look great, they look happy and very beautiful. On the other hand, we have the other line that in the same way is headed by these two characters of Gridman Universe where following the first line they wear a swimsuit, but with the difference that the aura in these products is more sporty.
In the first instance everything is fine, but fans of the franchise noticed slight changes in the body of Rikka Takarada, this time we can see the character of Gridman Universe with thighs to say, somehow, less exaggerated. “Have the thighs moved to the upper body?”, “I’m glad they didn’t slim it down too much due to complaints”, were some comments left by users.

It seems that this time Rikka Takarada has had one part of her body reduced and another enlarged. As we mentioned before, this Gridman Universe character has already been the victim of controversy when showing an image where her thighs were so big that several users expressed their opinion about how strange they felt they looked.
It was not surprising this creative decision, it is well known that when a character has many curves they are more talked about, so we could say that it is in trend to enlarge the thighs or the “plot” of some characters to make them more seductive and attractive to the fandom as well as to attract new audiences. This resource works quite well and even if it doesn’t always get the expected result, rest assured that at least the character will be talked about.
Very curiously, this is the second time that Rikka has been the protagonist of such controversy with her physique, initially for the exaggeration of her thighs and now for the decrease of these, but for the enlargement of her breasts. In both controversies, several users expressed their dissatisfaction about the Gridman Universe character’s physique, where they commented that she looked exaggerated, had excess flesh or simply did not look like herself.
Fortunately, there are also those fans who commented on how cute Rikka looks and that her curves are somewhat sexy and attractive. There is no doubt that the Gridman Universe franchise has been involved in different controversies, either because of its characters or its plot. If you don’t know much about this story, let me tell you that “Gridman Universe” encompasses series like “SSSS.Gridman” and “SSSS.Dynazenon”, offering a mix of action, mecha and deep character development that will certainly give you a good time.
