The announcement was officially made on April 3, 2025 through a statement released by 81 Produce, the agency representing Rie Takahashi, in which it was detailed that the actress has been dealing with persistent symptoms of hoarseness due to nodules on her vocal cords. However, in considering her future activities as a seiyuu, and after consulting with doctors, it has been decided to have surgery.
Therefore, she will take a break of approximately one month for her post-surgical recovery. As for her return to work, the timing of her return to work will depend on her recovery progress, so there may be variations in the timeframe. We will provide more details as needed.
We sincerely apologize to all parties involved, and to the fans who have always supported her, for any concerns and inconvenience this may cause.
