The anime world woke up with confusing and alarming news, especially for the passionate fans of the acclaimed series “Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu (Re:Zero Starting Life in Another World)”. Despite having announced the third season in March of this year, the studio responsible for the animation has kept a low profile, offering only a short teaser and two images as the only signs of progress.
Fans fear for quality of third season of “Re:Zero Starting Life in Another World”
What has made fans’ concerns worse is not the lack of information, but a new announcement by anime studio White Fox. Today, the anime studio announced its new project, “Sengoku Youko.”
This new series is an adaptation of a manga originally published between 2007 and 2016, the story focuses on the disputes between humans and monsters, called Katawara. With characters such as Tama, a human-loving Katawara, and her human-hating brother Jinka, the plot promises to be intriguing and exciting.
But this excitement has been overshadowed by a wave of concern from ReZero fans. Sengoku Youko has been announced as a 3-season anime, scheduled to be broadcast for 3 quarters, and is scheduled to premiere in January 2024. This announcement has led fans to wonder about the studio’s ability to handle two big projects simultaneously and how this might affect quality.
Can White Fox handle both projects?
News of White Fox‘s announcement of “Sengoku Youko” has generated a wide variety of reactions on social media. One user expressed his frustration saying, “Man, Re:Zero Starting Life in Another World is one of the anime that generates the most money for them, could they show some respect?”
“They should make ReZero be on air for three seasons,” one fan complained, while another protested, the studio should concentrate on the work in hand: “White Fox, focus on ReZero, the rest can wait.” This concern reflects anxiety over the possibility that the quality of the popular anime’s third season may be compromised due to the division of resources and attention.
Some voices in the community have been more pessimistic, suggesting an imminent delay in the release of the new season of Re:Zero Starting Life in Another World. “That’s why ReZero won’t be out anytime soon,” noted one user, while another fan simply said, “RIP ReZero“.
The big question that remains on everyone’s mind is, if White Fox has the capacity to carry out two such ambitious projects at the same time. The lack of information about the third season of Re:Zero Starting Life in Another World and the recently announced Sengoku Youko have created an atmosphere of uncertainty.
