The anime adaptation of the romantic comedy manga Rent-a-Girlfriend (Kanojo, Okarishimasu) has shared new information about its expected fourth season. Among these new updates, the month of release stands out, as Rent-a-Girlfriend’s official media confirmed that the new installment will premiere during the month of July this year.
In addition, the production committee of Rent-a-Girlfriend presented the first visual image for its fourth season, which features characters Chizuru Mizuhara, Mami Nanami, Ruka Sarashina, Sumi Sakurasawa and Mini Yaemori.
The fourth season of Rent-a-Girlfriend will premiere in July 2025.
But that’s not all, as it was also announced that “Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 4” will have 2 parts (cours). However, these parts will not be broadcast consecutively, as it was specified that there will be a break between seasons.
Additionally, the production team that will participate in the new installment of Rent-a-Girlfriend was presented, highlighting the return of Kazuomi Koga, director of the first 2 seasons.
The production team is as follows: Kazuomi Koga will return as director, replacing Shin’ya Une, director of the third season. The animation studio TMS Entertainment is in charge of production. Mitsutaka Hirota is in charge of compositing. Kanna Hirayama will be in charge of character design. The soundtrack will be composed by Hyadain.

Kanojo, Okarishimasu, known as “Rent-a-Girlfriend” in the West, is a popular romantic comedy manga written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima. The publisher Kodansha began publishing this work in its weekly “Shuukan Shonen Magazine” in July 2017.
The manga is still in publication and Kodansha Publishing has compiled the work into 38 volumes for the time being and a few months ago it was confirmed that the work managed to surpass the incredible figure of 13 million copies in circulation. The anime Rent-a-Girlfriend (Kanojo, Okarishimasu) has the following description: Kazuya Kinoshita, a college student emotionally shattered by the abandonment of his girlfriend, tries to appease the emptiness in his heart by renting a girlfriend through a mobile app. At first, Chizuru Mizuhara appears to be the perfect girl, with everything he could ask for: great looks and a friendly, caring personality.
Seeing mixed reviews on her profile after their first date, and still haunted by his previous relationship, Kazuya believes Chizuru is just playing with men’s hearts and leaves her a negative rating. Angered by her client’s lack of respect for her, Chizuru reveals her true nature: brash and temperamental, quite the opposite of Kazuya’s first impression. At the same moment, Kazuya receives news of his grandmother’s collapse and is forced to take Chizuru with him to the hospital.
Although it turns out to be nothing serious, his grandmother is ecstatic that Kazuya has finally found a serious girlfriend, which had always been his wish. Unable to tell her the truth, Kazuya and Chizuru are forced to maintain a fake relationship, acting as if they are real lovers.
