The romantic comedy manga written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima, Rent-a-Girlfriend (Kanojo, Okarishimasu), has unveiled to the public the official cover of its 39th compilation volume. For this occasion, the cover illustration of the new volume of the Rent-a-Girlfriend manga will feature the captivating Mami Nanami as the main protagonist.
Additionally, the respective official media of Japanese publisher Kodansha has announced that the 39th compilation volume of the Rent-a-Girlfriend manga is scheduled to be released for sale in Japanese stores and bookstores on January 17, 2025. In addition, this volume will have a total of 192 pages in it.

Kanojo, Okarishimasu, known as “Rent-a-Girlfriend” in the West, is a popular romantic comedy manga written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima. The publisher Kodansha began publishing this work in its weekly magazine “Shuukan Shonen Magazine” in July 2017.
The manga is still in publication and Kodansha Publishing has compiled the work into 38 volumes for the time being and a few months ago it was confirmed that the work managed to surpass the incredible figure of 13 million copies in circulation. Due to the excellent reception by the public, the production of an anime adaptation for the manga was announced in 2020.
On July 10, 2020, the manga “Rent-a-Girlfriend” released its anime series adaptation, consisting of 3 seasons with a total of 36 episodes. The animation studio TMS Entertainment was in charge of the production of the anime under the direction of Kazuomi Koga. Another detail to note is that the series is legally available on the Crunchyroll platform and has a English dubbing.
The anime Rent-a-Girlfriend will have a Fourth Season
Recall that last July 11 of this year, the anime adaptation of the Kanojo manga, Okarishimasu (Rent-a-Girlfriend) announced the production of a fourth season, which is scheduled to premiere in Japan in the course of the year 2025.
The manga Rent-a-Girlfriend has the following description: Kazuya Kinoshita, a college student emotionally shattered by the abandonment of his girlfriend, tries to appease the emptiness in his heart by renting a girlfriend through a mobile app. At first, Chizuru Mizuhara seems to be the perfect girl, with everything he could ask for: great looks and a friendly, caring personality.
Seeing mixed reviews on her profile after their first date, and still haunted by his previous relationship, Kazuya believes Chizuru is just playing with men’s hearts and leaves her a negative rating. Angered by her client’s lack of respect for her, Chizuru reveals her true nature: brash and temperamental, quite the opposite of Kazuya’s first impression. At the same moment, Kazuya receives news of his grandmother’s collapse and is forced to take Chizuru with him to the hospital.
Although it turns out to be nothing serious, his grandmother is ecstatic that Kazuya has finally found a serious girlfriend, which had always been his wish. Unable to tell her the truth, Kazuya and Chizuru are forced to maintain a fake relationship, acting as if they are real lovers.
