On this special occasion, figure manufacturer AFORCE has turned its attention to the dazzling Chizuru Mizuhara, the female protagonist of Rent-a-Girlfriend, and has announced the production of a new 1/7 scale figure inspired by this waifu so popular among fans of the Rent-a-Girlfriend multimedia franchise. In addition, a promotional image of this interesting product has been presented.

It is worth noting that, for the moment, not much information is known about this new scale figure of the beautiful Chizuru Mizuhara, as the figure manufacturer AFORCE has only limited itself to announce its upcoming release with the promotional image previously presented. For now, we can only wait for AFORCE to provide further updates, such as the release date, price, and also the model of the female protagonist of the anime “Rent-a-Girlfriend” that will be used for this product, along with the first prototype.
“Kanojo, Okarishimasu“, known as “Rent-a-Girlfriend” in the West, is a popular romantic comedy manga written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima. The publisher Kodansha began publishing this work in its weekly “Shuukan Shonen Magazine” in July 2017. The manga is still in publication and Kodansha Publishing has compiled the work into 36 volumes for the time being and a few months ago it was confirmed that the work managed to surpass the incredible figure of 13 million copies in circulation. Due to the excellent reception by the public, an anime adaptation for the manga was announced for production in 2020.
On July 10, 2020, the manga “Rent-a-Girlfriend” premiered its anime series adaptation, consisting of 3 seasons with a total of 36 episodes. The anime was produced by the animation studio TMS Entertainment under the direction of Kazuomi Koga. The series is available legally on the Crunchyroll platform and has an English dub.
“Rent-a-Girlfriend” narrates the life of Kazuya Kinoshita, a college student who, after suffering a breakup with his girlfriend, plunges into deep emotional desolation. In an attempt to try to remedy his emotional void, he turns to a curious mobile app that allows him to rent a woman and have her act as his girlfriend.
During his exploration of the app, Kazuya meets Chizuru Mizuhara, who projects to be the perfect image of a bride, with striking beauty and undeniable charm. However, after their first meeting, Kazuya is confronted with polarized opinions about Chizuru’s profile. Influenced by wounds from previous relationships, he concludes that she manipulates men’s feelings, thus giving her an unfavorable rating.
Outraged by Kazuya’s lack of consideration in giving her a very low rating, Chizuru shows Kazuya her true personality. However, due to a series of circumstances, Kazuya and Chizuru are engaged in simulating a romantic relationship, acting as if they are genuinely in love, this with an initial goal: to please Kazuya’s grandmother and partly Chizuru’s grandmother as well.
As the plot progresses, both protagonists face various obstacles and comical situations as they struggle to keep up the charade. In parallel, they discover more about themselves and their true feelings.
