In recent years, several well-known series in the history of anime have had their respective remakes, such as Ranma 1/2 or Urusei Yatsura, being that the visual section or the revision of the plot is the main attraction that these have to attract the attention of fans. But apparently, although these have had a great reception, also with the passing of time the criticisms have begun to flourish more and more, being that there are several points that these people touch to demonstrate how bad these anime are.
Ranma 1/2, Urusei Yatsura and more remakes are being heavily criticized in the networks.
In the history of anime we find a large number of works that have become iconic, but because they are too old and “outdated”, modern fans often miss the opportunity to enjoy them, so since recently many series are having their remakes. With this constant that has taken a lot of strength, we can see that anime like Ranma 1/2 or Urusei Yatsura, among some others, have been remastered with new animation, reimagining of their stories or more, even One Piece will have its own remake soon.
But, although many see these improvements as something necessary, several people in the networks have been strongly criticizing the revisions, giving some points that are repeated in the comments. Among them we find, for example, the case of Ranma 1/2, where the most diehard fans loved the fact that the voices are the same as in the original work, but saw the new style of the anime as something out of place with the essence of Ranma 1/2 from the 80s.
Another of the most talked about aspects is the fact that several of these anime have some changes in their story, but especially in characters that at the time were seen as comic relief, but that with modern times would start more than one controversy. These changes, together with other small details that add up, create a ball of problems that long-time fans see as something very negative, while the newer ones fail to connect with the characters or stories because of the different changes made.
With this we can see that although the idea of a remake that brings in modern times very relevant works of the anime world as Ranma 1/2 is good, the changes in key aspects can make these wonderful stories lose much of the original essence of what was wanted to convey in the beginning. Now we will have to see if this negativity will really affect the works to come in the future, one of the most anticipated by fans is that of One Piece, to be released sometime in 2025 if there is no delay.
